Some backyards just sit there. Patchy dirt, scattered weeds, nothing to show for it. That was the starting point here - a bare, uneven area right off the deck with zero function and even less curb appeal. No place to set furniture, no surface to actually enjoy. Just wasted potential.
We went with Techo-Bloc Blu 60 pavers for this one, and it's easy to see why that product gets used so much in hardscape work. The large-format, stone-textured surface looks sharp and holds up to real-world use. The running bond layout gives the patio a clean, structured look without feeling overdone.
What we like about this job is how much the space changed just by adding a solid, level surface. The patio now connects directly to the existing deck stairs, making the whole backyard feel intentional - like it was designed that way from the start. That kind of flow matters more than most people realize.
One thing worth noting: this one isn't finished yet. There's still more work coming on this property, and we're looking forward to showing how it all comes together. Sometimes you see a job mid-progress and can already tell it's going to land well. This is one of those.
If you've got a space out back that's been sitting unused, a paver patio is one of the most practical upgrades you can make. It adds usable square footage to your home without a massive footprint, and a quality product like Techo-Bloc holds its shape and color for years without a lot of fuss.
