Most driveway repairs fail for one reason - nobody dealt with what was underneath. Roots, soft organic material, and a weak base will sink and crack any new pavement laid on top of it. That's exactly what we were up against on this Whitesville job.
We brought in the mini excavator and got to work pulling out all the organic material and overgrown root systems that had been sitting under the old surface. There's no shortcut here. If you don't clean it out completely, you're just putting a fresh coat of paint on a rotting wall.
Once the dig-out was done, we graded the area to give it a clean, stable base - properly shaped so it would drain right and hold up under the new pavement. That grading work is what separates a driveway that lasts from one that starts heaving and cracking within a few years.
After we had the prep dialed in, our partners at Done Right Asphalt came in and laid the new surface. The end result speaks for itself - a clean, solid driveway where there used to be a soft, overgrown mess. That's what doing it right looks like.
We handle the full driveway prep side of things - excavation, grading, base work - so the paving crew has something worth paving on. If your driveway has seen better days and you want it fixed properly, this is the process that makes it last.
