A lot of homeowners sit on more usable land than they realize. The problem is it's buried under years of overgrowth - dense shrubs, brush, and tangled vegetation that creeps in and slowly eats away at your yard. That was exactly the situation we walked into on this one in Hopkinton.
The area along the driveway was completely choked with overgrown brush and understory growth. We brought in the mini excavator and wood chipper, cleared everything out, and hauled it all off. No half measures - the whole area got opened up properly. That combination of equipment is what lets us work efficiently without tearing up the surrounding lawn and driveway.
Once the land clearing was done, we moved into the grading work. The cleared ground got leveled and finished out, giving the homeowner a clean, flat base they can actually use. The stone wall along the perimeter got cleaned up too, which helps define the space and keep everything tidy at the edges.
What we ended up with is a noticeably larger, more functional yard. The area that was packed with brush is now open ground - ready for whatever the homeowner decides to do with it. There's even a basketball hoop set up out there now, which tells you everything about how much usable space was gained.
This kind of work is pretty common around here. Properties in New England get taken over fast. If your yard feels tight, overgrown, or like you're not getting full use out of your land, that's typically a land clearing and site work problem - and it's very fixable.
